“Rehearsal for Murder” opens Sat. 2 November…PLUS ’14 season launch

Sharon White and Paul Careless

Directed by Sandra Harman, “Rehearsal for Murder” started life as a television film, with the script written by Richard Levinson and William Link (“Columbo” and “Murder She Wrote”.) It was adapted for the stage in 1983 by the successful author David Rogers (under the pseudonym D. D. Brooke.)

The plot: When his leading lady (and fiancée) Monica Welles is found dead from an apparent suicide after the opening night of her Broadway stage debut, playwright Alex Dennison is left heartbroken. On the first anniversary of her death, he gathers the cast and crew from that ill-fated night in the same Broadway theatre, ostensibly to read a new play he is working on, a mystery in which a famous actress is killed.

A cast of suspects rehearsing in an empty theatre – what could be more intriguing?

The Nash cast: Featuring Darren Campbell, Paul Careless, Brendan James, Brenda Keith-Walker, Gary Kliger, Michael Matthias, Sandy Sharma, John Tiplady, Fiona Vink & Sharon White, this rehearsal leads to a nail-biting finale! Who will miss the curtain call?

Opens on Saturday 2nd November at 7.30pm…

…and includes the New Farm Nash Theatre 2014 season launch at supper afterwards.

“Rehearsal for Murder” then plays:

  • Friday & Saturdays @ 7.30pm until November 23rd
  • Sunday Matinee 10th November @ 2pm
